What Household Items Can I Use for e-Liquid? - eJuice Direct

Really, nothing. We know the eJuice Direct community of vapers is full of smart individuals who understand the importance of safety regarding vaping and vape juice, but you might be surprised by the things people want to put in their tanks. Just to be perfectly clear, you should only vape authentic e-Liquid that you have purchased from an authorized retailer like eJuice Direct, as vaping anything else can be unsafe for you and cause damage to your device. Now that the unfun part is over, let’s dive into what not to put in your tank! We have received dozens of questions about what you can put into your tank, so here are a few common questions and the answers as to why you should not put them in your tank.
Could I put water in a vape pen? Nope! Water can short out the internal electrical mechanisms in your vape device and cause irreparable damage. Additionally, water will dilute your e-Liquid and make it more difficult to clean, which can lead to nicotine e-juice getting everywhere. We all know that nicotine can be absorbed through the skin, so that is a mess we all want to avoid. Can I vape capsaicin? Please don’t. Capsaicin is the active component of chili peppers that makes them so spicy. We are not sure why anyone would want to vape capsaicin, but as you can imagine, it would not be an enjoyable experience. Can I vape vanilla extract? No, you cannot vape vanilla extract. It is alcohol-based, so it will only heat up and burn on your coils, and that is the epitome of a sticky situation. Can you put just corn syrup in a vape? Oh goodness, no. Corn syrup is goopy and sugar-based, and as we know, sugar melts and burns when heated. Not only would that be a slimy gooey mess, but it could also damage your coil, tank, and vape device. Can you put vegetable oil in a vape pen? Please do not try this. Even though it may sound simple, vegetable oil will only heat up and will not vaporize, leaving you with slimy oil all over your device. Can I put honey on my vape pen? Oh honey, no! Honey is another sugar-based product that will burn if heated in your coil. We don’t even want to think about how sticky that would be. Is it possible to vape any liquid other than e-liquid? Nope! Nothing, not a one. No sir, nada. None of the above. Zero, zilch, ixnay on the aping-vay. Nein, non, no, nil, nah. Our survey says….Nope!
Of all the things you coils put in your tank, these have to be some of the worst. e-Liquid should be the only thing going into your tank, but that will not stop us from having some fun talking about what not to put in there.
