“The FAA prohibits these devices in checked bags. Battery-powered E-cigarettes, vaporizers, vape pens, atomizers, and electronic nicotine delivery systems may only be carried in the aircraft cabin (in carry-on baggage or on your person). Check with your airline for additional restrictions. Remove all electronic cigarettes and vaping devices from carry-on bags if checked at the gate or planeside.”As well, the lithium batteries in your vape device must be in your carry-on bag, as this type of battery can leak in the frigid, low-pressure cargo hold. According to the FAA website, batteries must also be kept in carry-on bags for safety:
“Spare (uninstalled) lithium metal batteries and lithium-ion batteries, electronic cigarettes and vaping devices are prohibited in checked baggage. They must be carried with the passenger in carry-on baggage.”With these guidelines in mind, we can all travel safely with our vape devices, hooray! eJuice Direct appreciates the community’s efforts in traveling safely with any vape products.
